Bag filter is widely used in steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, machinery, building materials, electric power, light industry, textile, food, transportation and other industrial sectors.
The main structure of the bag filter is composed of upper box, central box, lower box, dust cleaning system and rotary discharger. The following are the 4 major advantages of bag filter.
1. The dust removal efficiency is very high. Generally, it can reach 99.5%. Changes in working conditions such as air volume, gas dust content, and temperature have little effect on the dust removal effect of the bag filter.
2. It’s easy to handle dust. The bag filter is a dry purification equipment that does not require water, so there is no problem of sewage treatment or mud treatment, and the collected dust is easy to recycle.
3. Flexible to use. The handling air volume can range from hundreds of cubic meters per hour to hundreds of thousands of cubic meters per hour. It can be used as a small unit directly installed indoors or nearby, or it can be made into a large dust removal room.
4. Stable performance. The structure is relatively simple, the operation is relatively stable, the initial investment is small, and the maintenance is convenient.
Of course, with the improvement of waste gas treatment technology and the standardization of national policies, various waste gas treatment methods are implemented to comprehensively control dust and smoke problems, and the combined use of bag filter, spray tower, and activated carbon treatment device has a better effect.
Cooling: The ability of bag dust removal to withstand temperature has a certain limit. The temperature resistance of cotton and wool filter materials is 80-95 degrees, the temperature resistance of synthetic fiber filter materials is 200-260 degrees, and the temperature resistance of glass fiber filter materials is 280 degrees. When purifying flue gas with higher temperature, take cooling measures to reduce the temperature of flue gas.
Heat preservation: Sometimes the flue gas contains a lot of water, or the dust carried by it has strong hygroscopicity, which often causes the filter bag to stick and block the filter material. At this time, the necessary heat preservation measures can ensure that the water in the gas will not condense.
