Structure and Working Principle of Rotary Dryer

Rotary dryer is mainly used for drying materials with a certain humidity or particle size in mineral processing, building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry and other departments. The rotary dryer has strong adaptability to materials, can dry various materials, and the operation of the equipment is simple and reliable, so it is widely used.
Structure
The rotary dryer is made of a cylinder as the main body of the dryer. The main body rotates horizontally on the four support rollers at both ends through the tires at both ends. The feeding end of the cylinder is equipped with hot air stove devices such as oil, gas, and coal. The discharge end is equipped with a dust cover and an automatic unloading device. The dust cover is connected with the dust collector through the pipeline, and the dust collecting equipment, feeding equipment and conveying equipment can be designed separately according to the user's process conditions and requirements.
 
Working Principle
The rotary dryer is a horizontal dryer, mainly used for drying materials such as slag, river sand, and clay, coal powder in the building materials industry or metallurgical industry, and leaching slag in the metal beneficiation industry. The dryer adopts a new lifting plate device, which has multiple functions such as guiding, flow equalization, and lifting. The material can be evenly distributed in the radial section of the dryer, and the material layer becomes thin, uniform and complete, and completely contacts the hot air flow to achieve the purpose of making full use of heat energy. The dryer optimizes the process system parameters and selects reasonable operating parameters, which solves the balance problem of the three major elements of the drying system "coal, material, and air", thereby greatly improving the thermal efficiency of the dryer and greatly improving output, reduce energy consumption, coal consumption and electricity consumption are reduced by more than 30-70% compared with ordinary dryers, and the output per unit is increased by more than 50-85%. It has been widely used in cement enterprises.
 
Main Feature
The rotary dryer has low requirements for feed moisture (less than 50%), compact structure, easy installation, reliable operation, low energy consumption, and high thermal efficiency. The drying effect of materials is good, it is easy to realize automatic control, and there are only few operators.
