At present, the main methods of sludge treatment are: anaerobic fermentation and digestion, thermal drying of sludge, lime stabilization, pyrolysis treatment, utilization of building materials (ceramsite production), and sludge landfill. The best resource disposal method is to make ceramsite, which can make full use of the soil resources in the sludge.
The following is a brief introduction to the process of sludge making ceramsite.
1. Ingredient process
Generally, the moisture content of sludge when entering the plant is 60-80%. After entering the plant, the sludge is stacked in a specific area and stored for a period of time to naturally volatilize part of the moisture. After entering the factory, the clay is transported to the stone remover by the box feeder. After the stone is removed, it is crushed by the roller crusher, and the crushed clay is transported to the upper double shaft mixer. Mix thoroughly with the sludge.
2. Aging process
The mixture of sludge and clay is mixed and transported to the aging warehouse for aging. The aging period is generally 7-14 days, in order to fully penetrate the materials.
3. Granulation and shaping
The aged material is reclaimed by the half-bridge or full-bridge reclaimer and then conveyed to the box-type feeder, and then conveyed to the double-roller granulator after the completion of the double-shaft stirring. The balls are shaped and screened by the shaping machine, the qualified balls enter the lower process, and the unqualified balls are returned to the double-shaft mixer.
4. Drying and calcining
The pellets from the shaping machine enter the kiln from the end of the rotary kiln and undergo a series of physical and chemical changes of drying-expansion-roasting, and then come out of the kiln head and enter the cooler for cooling. The kiln tail flue gas is discharged through cyclone dust removal and bag dust collection.
5. Cooling and screening
After being cooled by the cooler, the fired ceramsite products are lifted to the top of the silo by the bucket elevator, and the finished products of different particle sizes are screened out by the drum screen at the top of the silo, and stored in different finished product silos.
