1. What are the reasons for the wear of the hammer head?
1.1 The size of the line speed: The size of the line speed directly affects the impact force exerted by the hammer on the material and the size of the crushing ratio, which plays a decisive role in the particle size of the product. Excessive line speed will lead to a sharp increase in the wear of the hammer. (The line speed is too high, so that the material cannot enter the impact area, and the end of the hammer head is caused by severe wear).
1.2 Changes in processing capacity and discharge gap: The processing capacity of the equipment has a certain influence on the wear of the hammer head. When the processing capacity of the hammer crushing station is reduced, the particle size of the product will become finer, the crushing ratio will increase, and the unit wear of the hammer head will also decrease. Similarly, changing the size of the discharge gap will change the thickness of the product particle size, resulting in different degrees of wear on the hammer head.
1.3 The properties of the material to be crushed: The properties of the material to be crushed (element content, hardness, etc.), the size of the feeding particle size, the moisture content of the material, the geographical altitude and other factors will bring different degrees of wear to the hammer. Among these factors, the properties of the material to be crushed have the greatest influence on the wear of the hammer, and the harder the material, the greater the wear of the hammer.
1.4 Improper use and operation: As one of the wearing parts of the crawler hammer crushing station, the hammer head usually needs to be replaced after it is used for a certain period of time. When the maintenance man replaces the hammer head, if the new hammer head is installed, he does not stop the machine in time to check, so that the bolt becomes loose (failed to be tightened in time), which will cause the acceleration of the wear of the hammer head.
2. The method of reducing the wear of the hammer head
2.1 Reasonable linear speed: The hammer crusher mainly uses the hammer head to impact the material for crushing operation. The unit pure wear of the hammer head is proportional to the linear speed of the first and the second. Therefore, on the premise of ensuring the product particle size, we need to select a reasonable line speed to carry out the crushing operation of the material and control the wear of the hammer head to the maximum extent.
2.2 Improve the utilization rate of the hammer head and reduce the replacement time of the hammer head
The utilization rate and replacement time of the hammer are closely related to its structural form and its fixing method. During the crushing operation, a symmetrical structure and a simple fastening method can be adopted, and the metal utilization rate of the hammer head can be improved through schemes such as a large flip cover and a large access door casing, thereby prolonging the service life of the hammer head.
2.3 Change surfacing cemented carbide
After the hammer is worn to a certain extent, surfacing hard alloy on the wear surface can also effectively reduce the wear of the hammer.
2.4 Hammer heads of different materials should be selected for materials with different hardness
When crushing materials of different hardness, choose hammer heads of different materials.
For example, commonly used high manganese steel materials can be used when crushing medium hardness materials; hammer heads with high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance must be used when crushing high hardness materials.
2.5 Strengthen daily use and maintenance management
When installing the hammer head, it is necessary to remove the molding sand and burrs in the bolt hole and slot of the hammer head, so that the hammer head can fit smoothly when connecting; when tightening the hammer head bolt, hammer the elliptical head while tightening;
Check the bolt tightness in time after the hammer has been running for about half an hour (after tightening, spot weld the nut to the thread to prevent it from loosening).
