Measures to Reduce Air Leakage and Material Leakage at Kiln Head and Kiln Tail (1)
The cold air from the kiln head enters the kiln, which not only destroys the gas flow field entering the kiln, but also reduces the temperature of the secondary air after being mixed with the secondary air, which is not conducive to combustion, but also increases coal consumption.

The air leakage at the kiln tail is more harmful. It not only reduces the tail temperature and increases the coal consumption, but also easily causes skin formation and affects ventilation. It also affects the output and quality. That is, the air leakage increases the load of the high-temperature fan. Under the same conditions, the reduction in the amount of exhaust gas drawn by the high temperature fan will seriously affect the performance of the system. Therefore, the harm is great and we must pay attention to it.

Similarly, the leakage of kiln head and kiln tail is not a small hazard. First, it pollutes the environment, and secondly, it harms the life of the seal.

For the sealing form of the kiln head and tail, the contact type is now the main one. One is the radial contact seal, which is composed of a friction ring, an elastic thin plate (fish scale) and a tensioning device mounted on the kiln. The axial seal is mainly composed of fixed and movable friction rings and cylinders or spring devices.
Measures to Reduce Air Leakage and Material Leakage at Kiln Head and Kiln Tail (2)
The air leakage at the head and tail of the kiln is more harmful. In addition to strict requirements on the sealing device itself, system management also needs to keep up. For example, after ring formation at the end of the kiln, the accumulation of materials will cause material leakage and harm the sealing device; unsatisfactory feeding of the kiln tail slope causes material accumulation, which will also cause material leakage at the seal, and affect the operation of the sealing device; the kiln head must also Prevent the hot- end aggregate of the grate cooler. If the aggregate is too high, it will leak into the seal and cause damage to the seal.

1. Leakage reduction measures for radial seals
1.1 Ensure the reliable connection between the friction ring and the kiln, and ensure stable operation. When installing the friction ring, regardless of the radial runout of the kiln, the radial runout of the friction ring should be used as the standard to correct the radial runout and control the radial runout to be less than 12 mm.

1.2 Welding bumps, bosses, pits and grooves are not allowed in the contact area between the friction ring and the fish scales. The welds must be polished to prevent damage to the fish scales and the vibration of the scales during operation, which may cause air leakage and material leakage.

1.3 The friction ring and the kiln head guard iron should be buckled tightly to prevent the cooling air from entering, and also prevent the hot air from causing damage to the kiln shell and the friction ring.

1.4 The friction ring and fish scales can be properly lubricated to reduce wear.

1.5 It is necessary to ensure the normal string movement of the kiln and avoid grinding the friction ring into grooves. Once a step is formed, the fish scales will be broken when the kiln string moves.

1.6 The cold air cooling of the friction ring and the cylinder must be ensured to prevent unnecessary air leakage due to deformation of the friction ring.

1.7 The scales of the fish are properly tightened. Take the fish scales and the friction ring tightly as the standard, and don't overtighten it. Otherwise it will wear out faster.

1.8 An ash discharging device should be installed at the bell mouth of the fish scales installed at the head and tail of the kiln to ensure that dust can be discharged in time when there is ash collected between the friction ring and the fish scales to avoid damage to the seal by the aggregate, and to avoid air leakage caused by poor local sealing. material. At the same time, a lock air valve should be installed on the ash discharge pipe to prevent cold air from entering from here.

1.9 When the fish scales are found to be skewed or deformed in other aspects, they should be trimmed or replaced in time.

1.10 When the friction ring is found to be worn out or worn out, it should be planned to be replaced, otherwise it will be sealed.

1.11 Once the friction ring is found to be unstable, the cause must be found out and dealt with. It may be caused by the failure of the connection between the kiln and the friction ring.

1.12 Discharge the ash collected in the seal in time to prevent damage to fish scales.

2. Leak-proof measures for axial friction seal

2.1 The fixed friction ring should be fixed firmly, and there should be no looseness, so as to avoid sloshing, air leakage and material leakage.

2.2 Ensure that the movable friction ring can move flexibly in the axial direction, and can be lubricated as necessary to prevent loose sealing, material leakage, and air leakage caused by jamming.

2.3 Ensure that the cylinder moves freely, can apply pressure in time, and ensure that the friction ring fits tightly.

2.4 When the friction plate on the friction ring is found to be damaged or thinned, deal with it in time.

2.5 Ensure the lubrication between the friction rings, dry grinding is not allowed, otherwise it will wear faster.

2.6 Clean up the dust collection in time to avoid damaging the friction plate, etc.
