The blades of the twin-shaft mixer are the main components of the twin-shaft mixer. When the blades are worn out, the uniformity and efficiency of the mixer will obviously decrease. There are several reasons for blade damage and failure:

4. Excessive amount of blade pushing material makes the mixer work overloaded
 
The damage and failure of the first two types of blades mentioned above are mainly caused by improper manufacturing and use of blades. Therefore, the improvement of the performance and material of the blade shaft and the processing method can avoid the problems.
 
Blade wear is the main cause of blade damage. The blades are installed on the shaft of the mixer. After working for a period of time, under the continuous friction and squeezing of the materials, the top of the blades will gradually become thinner during the rotation, and the two corners of the fan-shaped working surface will be worn more seriously. When the blade rotation diameter and blade thickness are worn to a certain extent, the output of the conveyed materials will decrease significantly.
  
There are several ways to improve the blades:
1. Reasonably select the material of the blade material: select the material of the blade according to the different characteristics of the conveying material to improve the wear resistance and impact toughness of the blade.
 
2. Improve the welding quality of the blade and reduce the stress concentration at the root of the blade: When the blade is in use, the welding part of the shaft and the blade will be broken, mainly when the shaft is welded on the blade, welding stress is generated in the welding area. When the blade rotates, the bending stress at its root is the largest, which causes fracture.
 
3. The blade working surface is welded with a wear-resistant layer to improve its wear resistance and extend its service life.

4. Reasonably choose the installation angle of the blade on the main shaft: Generally, the angle between the blade and the main shaft is about 20°~25°. After the blade has been working for a period of time, the installation angle will become smaller under the reaction of the material to the blade, and the blade thrust resistance It will increase, the wear of the blade and the excessive force on the blade and the shaft will break and bend, so the angle of the blade on the main shaft should be adjusted reasonably.
 
Operate the equipment correctly: When using the equipment, the feed volume of the feed inlet should be uniform and not pile up like a mountain. Overload work will cause the blades of the feed inlet to bear excessive pressure and cause the blade shaft to bend and break.
 
The improvement of the blades of the twin-shaft mixer will help reduce the failure rate of the equipment and extend the service life and wear resistance of the blades.
