Reasonably determining the size of the rotary kiln has a direct impact on the capacity of the kiln. The capacity of the rotary kiln is an important indicator of the process design of the cement plant and has a key role in the selection of other equipment in the cement plant.
1. Determination of rotary kiln size:
There are many factors that affect the capacity of rotary kiln, such as the type and size of kiln, the supporting conditions of equipment such as cooler, preheater and decomposition furnace, the composition and quality of raw fuel, the type of clinker, the operation level, and the operation rate. However, as far as the kiln itself is concerned, the direct factor determining its capacity is the kiln's specifications, that is, its diameter and length, while other factors are relatively objective and variable, the production capacity of the kiln can only fluctuate within a certain range with different conditions.
When designing a new kiln or retrofitting an old kiln, the kiln's specifications (diameter, length, or aspect ratio) must be reasonably determined. The kiln's unit capacity index is also different when the type and size of the kiln are different. At present, when determining the kiln size, the kiln size is generally calculated based on selecting a reasonable unit clinker capacity index.
2. Determination of rotary kiln capacity:
The capacity of the rotary kiln is the basis for determining the production scale, raw materials, and fuel consumption quotas of the plant, and the selection and design of the entire plant equipment. It is an important indicator of the process design of the cement plant.
The capacity calibration should be a reasonable capacity that the kiln can achieve under the condition of ensuring high quality, low consumption and long-term safe operation. If the capacity of the kiln is calibrated too low or too high, the whole system will be unmatched and production operations will be unbalanced.
The calibration is too low. When designing and calculating other auxiliary equipment, the selection may be small, and the production capacity of the kiln will be restricted after it is put into production.
The calibration is too high, the auxiliary machine selection may appear too large, and the actual capacity of the kiln cannot reach, resulting in a waste of equipment capacity. At the same time, it has brought difficulties to the kiln production.
