Screw conveyor is a kind of conveying equipment widely used in chemical, building materials, grain and other departments, mainly used for conveying powdery, granular and small lump materials. It is not suitable for conveying materials that are easily deteriorated, viscous and easy to agglomerate.
The ambient temperature of the screw conveyor is -20～50℃; the material temperature is less than 200℃; the inclination angle of the conveyor β≤20°; the conveying length is generally less than 40m, and the minimum is not more than 70m.
Compared with other conveying equipment, screw conveying has the advantages of simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing performance, multi-point loading and unloading, safe and convenient operation, and low manufacturing cost. Its disadvantages are that the parts wear more seriously, the delivery volume is lower, the power consumption is large, and the materials are easily broken during transportation.
There are three types of spiral blades for spiral conveyors: solid spiral surface type, belt spiral surface type and blade spiral surface type. The solid spiral surface is called S method, and its spiral pitch GX type is 0.8 times the blade diameter, which is suitable for conveying powdery and granular materials. The belt spiral surface is also known as the D method. Its spiral pitch is the same as the diameter of the spiral blade. It is suitable for conveying powdery and small pieces of material. The helical surface of the blade type is rarely used. It is mainly used for conveying materials with high viscosity and compressibility. During the conveying process, the stirring and mixing processes are completed at the same time. The spiral pitch is about 1.2 times the diameter of the helical blade.
The screw blades of the screw conveyor have left-handed and right-handed directions.
The types of screw conveyors include horizontal fixed screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. Horizontal fixed screw conveyor is the most commonly used type. The vertical screw conveyor is used to lift materials in a short distance. The conveying height is generally not more than 8m. The screw blade is a solid surface type. It must have a horizontal screw feed to ensure the necessary feed pressure.
LS, GX screw conveyor material outlet end, should be set ½ ~ 1 turn reverse spiral piece, to prevent powder from blocking the end bearing. There is no spiral piece on the upper end of the outlet pipe.
The screw conveyor is composed of three parts: the main body of the screw machine, the inlet and outlet and the driving device.
The main body of the screw machine is composed of the head uranium bearing, the tail bearing, the suspension bearing, the screw, the casing, the cover plate and the base.
The driving device is composed of motor, reducer, coupling and base.
