1. Working principle of wet ball mill
Before the operation of the wet ball mill, the water and mineral are loaded together, and the amount of water and mineral is slightly increased. When the amount of water is too small, the concentration is too high, the movement of the steel ball is blocked, and the grinding effect is affected, the mineral and steel ball will difficult be discharged. The smashing ability of the steel ball decreases, and the ore material flows out without achieving the desired smashing effect. Therefore, it is important to determine the appropriate amount of water before grinding.
The wet ball mill is a horizontal structure. The motor drives the mill body to rotate continuously, and the mineral materials, steel balls, water and other materials are lifted and dropped accordingly. The horizontal structure can reduce the center of gravity of the whole machine and increase the contact area between the mineral and the steel ball. Under the action of gravity, the steel ball medium and minerals inside the barrel of the wet ball mill are fed into the first silo of the mill by the feeding device through the feeding hollow shaft. There is a stepped lining or corrugated lining and steel balls of different specifications in a bin. It is coarsely ground in this bin, and then enters the second bin of the wet ball mill. The bin is lined with flat linings and smaller steel balls. The materials are finely ground here, and the qualified minerals are discharged. Wet ball mills generally choose overflow drainage to save energy.
2. Advantages of wet ball mill
(1) High efficiency
The wet grinding of the ore material can effectively avoid the "closed" phenomenon of the ore material crack. During wet grinding, for the broken and cracked ore particles, the liquid ball milling medium will enter the formed crack gap, which prevents the crack from closing. It will effectively make the cracks propagate quickly and greatly improve the grinding efficiency.
(2) Low energy consumption
The wet ball mill chooses overflow drainage, and the ore material is continuously ground and flows to the ore outlet. When the ore discharge surface is higher than the ore slurry surface, the qualified grinding materials are discharged under the action of gravity. The ore discharge by the gravity of the ore slurry is used to greatly save energy consumption. The wet ball mill is equipped with a special motor for grinding, which transmits more power and effectively reduces the energy consumption of the whole machine.
(3) Strong environmental protection performance
The wet ball mill is equipped with professional dust removal devices and wastewater collection devices to reduce dust pollution during the grinding process, and the discharged wastewater is effectively treated. Effective dust suppression measures are adopted for the tailings to reduce dust pollution. The wet ball mill adopts the prior selection method to pre-select and discard waste, which improves the grade of the finished product and reduces the phenomenon of over-grinding of the mineral.
